Revenue Model Key:
F2P = Free to play, P2P = Pay to play (subscription), B2P = Boxed to play (you have to purchase a retail version (or via download) then there are no further costs.

Rating Key:

A = High confidence, confirmed by many sources. B = Should be about right, confirmed by external source. C = Unclear, is based on industry information, a single data submission or has a little guess work (default rating until confirmed by another source).

First release of MMOGData subscription data

Hi All,
Well it has been hell but I appreciate the information everyone has been sending into me.
I have now pulled this into a spreadsheet and have uploaded it all here for your reference.

Please provide any feedback, both good and bad and I will continue to do my best to keep this up to date.

I am also very keen on if you spot any issues with the data.

I have also added a forum to the site as I hope this will be useful.

Update on progress 29th May 2007

Ok, things are moving forward on getting the information together with some companies offering to help and others thinking about it so the first update will probably be patchy at best until I can convince people that it is good to share!

I will try to have the MMO Data sheet (type of game, B2P/F2P/P2P etc) up with all information by the weekend and then the subs data by the end of the following week.

Any questions or data to share then let me know.

Initial feedback to www.mmogdata.com

Just a quick thank you to all the people who have contacted me about www.mmogdata.com in the last day.

Some have said updating SirBruce's data to be current is going to be hard as no-one shares subscriber numbers, even informally, now that World of Warcraft has redefined what is a commerical success. Other are concerned about the ownership of SirBruce's data.

Welcome to MMOGData.com!

So what’s this all about then? Well lots of people have used the awesome www.mmogchart.com for information on the MMOG market which was created and maintained by SirBruce for many years, however since 2006 SirBruce has not updated the site.
